"My husband and I attended the 9Health Fair in April of 2004 at the Susan M Duncan YMCA in Arvada. We had gone through most of the stations and were on our way out when we saw the line for skin screenings. It was shorter that usual so we decided to stop and get checked. Thank GOD we did. I was checked by the doctor who noticed a dark freckle on my left arm and a spot on my face; she recommended that both areas be checked by my doctor. I had the freckle on my arm removed and sent off to the lab. It was melanoma! It was .3mm deep so it was caught early. I will have to manage this for the rest of my life but now that I am educated, it will help me through any future incidents. While my doctor had a watch on this freckle, it was the 9Healthfair that recommended further inspection and treatment and may have saved my life. I will always be thankful to the 9Health Fair.”

9Health Fair is a 501©(3) non-profit and when you give to the 9Health Fair, you provide needed health screenings for thousands of 9Health Fair participants. For some, the only contact with a health professional is at a 9Health Fair.
The majority of the gifts we receive are under $1,000, given by people from all walks of life. These generous donors are concerned with health education and providing health screenings in your community. You can make a gift by check, cash, money order or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). All donations go toward direct programs and services offered at the 9Health Fair. Any gift, regardless of size, is both needed and appreciated. Benefits are available including tax advantages.

9Health Fair Impacts Lives and Communities
- 87,000 individuals participated in the 2007 9Health Fair at 165 locations. Since 1980, we’ve impacted approximately 1.7 million lives!
- 84,245 9Health Fair participants had 31-component Blood Chemistry screenings
- 24,699 men 40 or older had a PSA screening
- 18,362 individuals utilized Colon Cancer screening take home kits
- 2,130 participants received Pap smears; abnormal samples received automatic Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) screenings
- 15,201 participants qualified and received the Finger Stick Glucose screening, with 42 percent reporting higher than normal glucose levels
- 34,233 participants took advantage of our Blood Count screening, which analyzes red and white blood cell levels
- 4,436 participants took advantage of the Cardio Risk Assessment screening, which helps determine people’s heart attack risk in the next 10 years
- 1,788 individuals received personal follow up calls within 72 hours
- 1,497 vouchers were utilized by underserved communities
