"My husband and I attended the 9Health Fair in April of 2004 at the Susan M Duncan YMCA in Arvada. We had gone through most of the stations and were on our way out when we saw the line for skin screenings. It was shorter that usual so we decided to stop and get checked. Thank GOD we did. I was checked by the doctor who noticed a dark freckle on my left arm and a spot on my face; she recommended that both areas be checked by my doctor. I had the freckle on my arm removed and sent off to the lab. It was melanoma! It was .3mm deep so it was caught early. I will have to manage this for the rest of my life but now that I am educated, it will help me through any future incidents. While my doctor had a watch on this freckle, it was the 9Healthfair that recommended further inspection and treatment and may have saved my life. I will always be thankful to the 9Health Fair.”

“My wife and I have been going to [the] 9Healthfair for many years in several different towns in Colorado, so it plays a big part in our lives. In April of 2003, we went again to have our annual blood screening but this time mine came back a little different. My PSA number came in a little high with a suggestion to make an appointment with my doctor. With further evaluation I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I had no previous symptoms. I was given several options but at my age of 51, surgery was the best for me. As you can see 9Healthfair saved my life. My family and I are so grateful for the services available to all of our communities. 9Health Fair is great and I am looking forward to many more 9fairs.”

PLANNED Gifts
 Many
friends want to ensure their commitment to the 9Health Fair carries on after they
are gone, so that 9Heath Fair can continue to offer vital programs to people in
our Colorado community. They remember 9Health Fair through a direct bequest in their
will, or through a planned financial vehicle arranged during their lifetimes.
Many financial arrangements that assist 9Health Fair in helping those in need include
direct benefits to the donor, such as charitable tax deductions and stable income
sources. In fact, well-planned charitable giving vehicles can significantly enhance
your ability to meet financial and estate objectives for your family. You can leave
a legacy to the 9Health Fair through a deferred, or "planned," gift.
A charitable bequest can be created through your will. The 9Health Fair can benefit
from either a specific bequest or a bequest from your residuary estate (i.e. from
what remains after you ' ve made your specific bequests). A current will can be
modified to include a charitable bequest through a codicil, a relatively simple
and inexpensive document created by your attorney.
