Like one of those occasions when you unwrap and open a chocolate from a chocolate box, to discover a texture and a flavor you’ve neither seen nor tried before. It could be anything: a new person, a new job, friendships, a piece of clothing or a place. In Ruth’s case it was a health fair; the 9Health Fair.
Ruth and her brother decided to go to the 9Health Fair and get some exams, including blood work and a mammogram. Finding a place where she could get most of her overly needed exams made her feel this was a wonderful place to be.
It was her first time uncovering this world of medical screenings, and she thought it was very well organized. She discovered it thanks to a random invitation she encountered in one of her kids’ backpacks. The invitation couldn’t have come in handier! She was able to get all of her blood work done for a very reasonable price since she has no insurance and does not have a primary physician. This was the lucky flavor chocolate piece to pick from the box of Life. Getting the care you need, when you need it, isn’t too much to ask. Tell us how you want health care to work for you; your voice matters.
