Kids’ health and back to school during a pandemic

Back to school sure looks a lot different this year, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some kids are going back to school in person, remotely, or some combination of the two. At the same time, COVID-19 cases in kids are going up.

We talked with the Deputy Superintendent of Academics from Denver Public Schools, Tamara Acevedo, and 9Health Expert Dr. Payal Kohli on Facebook Live about the health and safety of kids as they go back to school.

Denver Public Schools will only offer remote learning through at least the first quarter, with school set to begin August 24th.  The district said they then plan to gradually return to in-person classes with an option for families to choose to continue online learning instead.
