As part of a new, in-depth health education series, we have been talking about Culinary Medicine for the last few weeks and have made some great, healthy recipes. We thought we should also demonstrate some kitchen skills to help make those recipes and show how easy it can be to eat healthy at home.
We talked with Chef Instructor Sam Friedman from Cook Street School of Culinary Arts. He demonstrated knife skills, including an easy way to cut an onion. He also showed us how to blanch vegetables before putting them in the oven for a few minutes as a quick and healthy way to cook your veggies. Check out the video for all of his tips.
