Tis the Season of Fall Festivals

Fall is in the air and it’s a great time to get outside, breathe fresh air and enjoy the beauty of the autumn leaves. This is also the time of year when fall festivals abound! Pumpkin patches, corn mazes and tractor rides through fields of vegetation.
When it comes to outdoor activities this fall, there are many that top the charts. One favorite is the fall festival at Miller Farms. In its 19th season, this harvest event has become a tradition for so many families. Experience what it would be like to be a farmer. Take a tractor ride into the fields with stops along the way to pick your own vegetables. For kids, life doesn’t get much better than this. They get to dig in the dirt to pull vegetables out of the ground and then you can take home as much as you can carry to your car! It’s a great time to talk to your kids about the importance of vegetables are and what types of healthy meals you can make.  Check out some of these vegetable recipes that are good for the whole family.
In addition to being a farmer for a day, Miller Farms is packed full of fun fall festivities. Play in the petting zoo, find your way through a corn maze, bounce around on the jumping balloon, climb on the fire truck, run up a hay pyramid, and more. This autumn event goes through mid-November and is open daily from 9am to 6pm. You can get more information by calling 970-785-6133.
